Nile Cruise Luxor – Aswan
A six-day journey through ancient wonders and timeless beauty
Esna – Al Hegz
Transfer from Luxor to Esna (approx. 60 min). Board the Queeny at 10:00 AM with a welcome aperitif and boat briefing. Visit the Temple of Khnum, located 9 metres below street level, featuring 24 columns and dedicated to the ram-headed creator god. Explore the old village souk before sailing to Al Hegz, with lunch served en route. In the evening, visit a local village to experience rural life — cultivated fields, women baking traditional bread, and elders gathering for dominoes and shisha. Overnight in Al Hegz
Edfu – Bissau Island – Gabal as-Silsila
Breakfast on the sun deck while sailing towards Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, with its iconic granite falcon statues. Continue sailing past Bissau Island, where fishing boats and riverside farms reflect daily Nile life. Arrive at Gabal as-Silsila, Egypt’s most important sandstone quarry, where the Nile narrows to less than 400 metres. Enjoy dinner overlooking the illuminated Horemheb Temple. Overnight at Gabal as-Silsila.
Gabal as-Silsila – Maniha Island
Visit the Temple of Horemheb and explore the ancient sandstone quarry, an exclusive stop inaccessible to large cruise ships. Walk through the village of Faris, taste fresh Balady bread, visit the local school, and experience authentic Egyptian village life. Enjoy time to swim and explore Bashir or Maniha Island before an evening barbecue under the stars with a traditional crew feast. Overnight at Maniha Island.
Kom Ombo – Alherdiab
Visit Kom Ombo’s unique twin temple, built during the Ptolemaic era and dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus. Explore the fascinating museum featuring mummified crocodiles before returning on board for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Alherdiab Beach with time for swimming and sunbathing, then continue sailing towards Aswan.
Aswan
Morning visit to the Temple of Philae, known as the “Pearl of the Nile” and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Reach the island by motor boat and explore this magnificent ancient sanctuary. Spend the afternoon at leisure with a choice of experiences: visit a traditional perfume shop, explore Aswan’s colourful souk, join an optional Nubian village visit (€35 per person), or simply relax on the sun deck. Enjoy a farewell party on board the Queeny and your final night aboard the cruise.
